Seafood is obviously the focus of most of the recipes as fishing is a popular sport on Fraser Island. Many fish are caught on the surf side of the Island, which is the same side that Kurrawa House is on. Pipis, which feature in a few recipes, can be found in the sand on that side of the Island as well, they are often found where the waves are washing over the sand, just under the sand.
